Edit Details Country: Australia Canada. There are so many of these disaster movies out there and while Arctic Blast wouldn't have won any awards, it is reasonably paced and an entertaining watch.

I'm not sure about the hokey science, but the acting was generally competent and most of the special effects were passable.

What I did appreciate was the way the film was able to convey the scale of the disaster - usually these types of films are centred in one place but Arctic Blast takes us from Australia to England, Tokyo, Moscow etc, albeit in a limited capacity.

And the bulk of the film was set in beautiful and historic Hobart which is somewhere you don't get to see much on screen. Another daft science and mild terror, threat film.

Very likeable leading roles Michael Shanks and Robert Mammone , less so awful acting from screen wife Alexandra Davies Never dull, and unintentionally funny in parts, well worth adding to collection of Z list films for dismal winter Sunday afternoons However one can't help thinking it's a cheapo derivative of the brilliant I didn't expect too much from this movie.

Lame acting perhaps but I thought I would give it a go. I was wrong. Very good acting and a film that makes you think about what we are doing to our planet.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Most enjoyable movie to watch on your own or as a family a disaster avoided with a handsome hero in Michael Shanks.

The film kept me interested from beginning to end and it was without violence and sex and bad language it made a change to spend a few hours enjoying a good movie.

Um direkt anzufangen, da ich denke, dass Du dir auch die Kritik zum ersten Teil durchgelesen hast: Der Film war einerseits besser als Teil 1, andererseits empfand ich die Effekte als schlechter.

Man kann ihn also gut gucken, wenn man nicht so ein riesen Fan von Special Effects ist und Wert auf eine interessante Story legt, denn auf diese kommt es hier an.
